Who Tells the Couple What Happens Next?

The couple should not spend the wedding day wondering where they are supposed to be.

After one ceremony, the bride walked straight into cocktail hour because nobody had told her she was supposed to remain out of sight for a formal reception entrance. She only learned the plan after she had already entered the space.

A timeline is not enough if nobody communicates it.

Did You Think of This?

For every transition on the wedding day, ask: “Who tells us it is time to move?”

Sample Timeline Language

5:00 - Guests begin cocktail hour. Couple remains in designated private area for photographs. Designated point person cues couple at 5:45 for reception entrance.

Choose one primary point person the couple can look to when they do not know what comes next. That may be a full-service planner, venue coordinator or trusted wedding-party member - but the responsibility must be explicit.

The wedding party needs the same clarity. Somebody should know who gathers them, when they need to move and where they are expected next.

The Details Guests Feel

Guests experience smooth flow even when they have no idea who made it happen. Clear transitions reduce awkward pauses, crowding and confusion.
