Who Does What on Shower Day?
One person should not have to carry food, answer venue questions, greet guests, run games, take photos, track gifts and clean up.
Host / Lead: Keep the big picture, timeline, contacts and unexpected questions moving — not every task.
Setup Lead: Décor, tables, signs, guestbook, gift/card area, activity areas and final room check.
Food Lead: Receive/pick up food, set it out, replenish, monitor temperatures and pack leftovers.
Guest Greeter: Welcome people, help with coats, restrooms, guestbook and gifts/cards.
Activity Lead: Gather guests, explain activities, run them, manage prizes and know when to stop.
Gift Helper: Hand gifts, collect wrapping, keep cards together, record gifts and move/display them.
Photo Person: Photograph the room, guest of honor, family, activities, details and gift moments.
Cleanup Lead: Collect décor, leftovers, gifts, signs and personal items; complete the final room walk.
Did You Think of This?
The gift recorder is often chosen after the first present is already open. Assign that job before the shower begins.
Make It Easier
Give helpers one or two specific jobs. “Can you help?” is vague. “Please own the guest-book table and take photos during gifts” is actionable.
